The short version

George processes your data on the computer sitting on your desk. Your conversations, documents, emails, and files never leave your device. We do not collect, store, or have access to any of the content you work with through George.

Who we are

MyGeorge is operated by MyGeorge Pty Ltd, ABN pending, based in Melbourne, Australia. We sell and support George — a private AI computer for homes and businesses. You can contact us at hello@mygeorge.com.au.

What stays on your device

Everything George does happens locally on your George hardware. This includes:

  • All conversations with George
  • Documents you create (quotes, invoices, letters, reports)
  • Files you upload or share with George
  • Email content accessed through Google Workspace
  • Financial data accessed through Xero
  • Calendar events and contacts
  • Photos and images you share with George

We have no ability to access, read, or retrieve any of this data. It exists only on the physical computer in your possession.

What we do collect

We collect a small amount of information to manage your subscription and deliver support:

  • Order information: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address — collected at checkout via Stripe
  • Billing information: payment method and transaction history — managed by Stripe, not stored on our servers
  • George ID: a unique identifier for your unit, used to verify your subscription when George downloads skill updates
  • Last check-in timestamp: when your George last contacted our server to check for updates — no content is transmitted, only a version check
  • Support messages: if you contact us for help via email or through George

How skills work

George downloads skill definitions (instructions for how to perform tasks like creating quotes or checking invoices) from our server. These are small text files containing instructions — not your data. The download is authenticated using your George ID and a secure token. No personal or business data is sent to our server during this process.

Third-party services

We use the following services:

  • Stripe— payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
  • Supabase — database hosting for subscription records (hosted in Sydney, Australia)
  • Resend — transactional email (order confirmations, magic link logins)
  • Vercel — website and API hosting
  • Cloudflare — DNS and security

None of these services have access to your George's local data.

Google and Xero connections

When you connect Google Workspace or Xero to George, the authentication happens directly between your George and Google/Xero. The access tokens are stored locally on your George hardware. Our servers are not involved in these connections and have no access to your Google or Xero data.

Data retention

We retain your order and subscription information for as long as you are a customer, plus 7 years after cancellation for tax and accounting purposes as required by Australian law. Support messages are retained for 2 years. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@mygeorge.com.au.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and request corrections. To make a request, email hello@mygeorge.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email. The latest version will always be available at mygeorge.com.au/privacy.
